Residential Painting Adelaide

Most interior paint jobs start looking tired within two years — not because of the paint, but because of what was skipped before it. We never skip.

Where Most Painters Cut Corners

The Paint Is 40% of the Job. Prep Is the Other 60%.

Adelaide homes span a century of building methods — from 1900s stone cottages in Norwood to gyprock-lined new builds in Mawson Lakes. Plaster, fibro, heritage lime, and modern render all behave differently. We assess the actual surfaces before we quote, and prepare every one of them before paint goes on.

Peeling paint, uneven sheen, brush marks showing through — these aren't paint problems. They're prep problems. Filling, sanding, priming, and washing surfaces properly adds time to the job. We do it anyway. It's the only reason we can back our work with a 10-year workmanship guarantee.

What We Offer

Residential Painting Services

Every room. Every surface. One team that shows up on time and finishes what they start.

Full House Repaints

A full repaint is a big job — and the biggest risk is tradespeople who disappear mid-project. We run the whole job: surface prep, priming, two coats, final touch-ups, clean-up. One timeline, one point of contact. Average 3–4 bedroom home done in 5 days.

Feature Walls & Accents

One well-chosen wall changes how an entire room feels. Whether it's a deep charcoal in a living area or a warm sage in a bedroom, the result lives or dies on edge cutting and even coverage. Ours is consistently sharp — no bleeding, no visible roller texture.

Ceiling Painting

Ceilings are invisible until you're lying on the couch looking up — then every crack and patchy roller mark is obvious. We repair plaster cracks, sand out ridges, and apply ceiling-specific flat paint for even coverage. One coat that actually covers.

Trim, Doors & Skirts

Skirting boards, architraves, door frames, and reveals — this is where a painter's real skill shows. Rushed trim work leaves visible brush strokes and ragged edges that catch the eye every time you walk past. We sand between coats and cut in by hand for lines that look machine-applied.

Our Process

How We Work

Six steps. No skipping. This is exactly what happens on every job we take on.

01

Free Quote

We come to you. We walk every room, measure surfaces, flag prep issues, and hand you a detailed fixed-price quote in writing. No guesswork, no add-ons.

02

Surface Prep

Nail holes filled. Rough patches sanded. Surfaces washed with sugar soap. Floors and furniture masked properly. This step is why our work lasts.

03

Priming

Every bare surface and stain-prone area gets quality primer before colour goes on. This is the step most cheap quotes quietly remove.

04

Two-Coat Paint

Two full coats of premium Wattyl or Haymes paint, chosen for your specific surface type and sheen preference. Not one coat pulled thin. Two.

05

Detail & Touch-Up

We do a final walk-through with you before we pack up. Anything you're not happy with gets fixed on the spot. We don't call the job done until you do.

06

Full Clean-Up

Drop cloths out, furniture back in place, surfaces wiped down. We leave your home the way we'd want to find ours — clean.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

A 3–4 bedroom house typically takes 3–5 working days, depending on the number of rooms, surface condition, and whether ceilings and trims are included. We give you a specific day count in your written quote so you can plan around it.
For most rooms, no. We move standard furniture and cover everything with drop cloths before we start. For large or valuable pieces — grand pianos, antiques, built-in shelving — it helps to move them beforehand, or we can sort it together on the first morning.
We use Wattyl and Haymes — both Australian-made and formulated for South Australian conditions. We recommend the right sheen for each surface: flat for ceilings, low-sheen for walls, semi-gloss for trims and doors. We won't use budget-brand paint to sharpen a quote.
No. Modern water-based paints have very low VOCs and the smell clears quickly with open windows. Most of our clients stay home — many work from home throughout the job. We stay out of your way and let you know when we're moving into a new area.
For a full interior repaint of an average 3–4 bedroom Adelaide home, budget $3,000–$8,000. The range depends on size, how many ceilings and trims are included, surface condition, and number of colours. We give you a fixed-price written quote — so the number you get is the number you pay.
Yes — regularly. We work in units, townhouses, and apartments across inner Adelaide, including Norwood, Unley, Prospect, and city-fringe suburbs. Tight access, body corporate considerations, no problem — we've done it enough to know what to ask beforehand.
